East Baton Rouge Parish – Cat Haven – Cats Only – In cooperation with the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Cat Haven helps to coordinate a monthly Spay Day to offer a low-cost spay/neuter option to those in need. You are eligible to participate in this program if you qualify under certain low-income guidelines. Check website for specifics.
Greater Baton Rouge Area – Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS) – Their free spay program is a needs-based program meant to help low-income families spay their pets. Check website for guidelines. Covers the following parishes: East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Iberville, East Feliciana, West Feliciana.
Jefferson Parish – Fix-a-Canine is a Jefferson SPCA program that is honored at the Louisiana SPCA Community Clinic. Jefferson Parish residents can have their dog(s) spayed or neutered for a $50 co-pay. Fix-a-Feline is the also a Jefferson SPCA program that is honored at the Louisiana SPCA Community Clinic. Jefferson Parish residents can have their cat(s) spayed or neutered for a $10 co-pay.
Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter – Appointments must be made in person at the shelter @ 934 Hwy. 3185 in Thibodaux. Proof of residency required. Call #985-446-3532 for more information.
Livingston Parish – Pet Aid – #225-664-6126
PET AID pays to spay and neuter all the dogs and cats at The Denham Springs Animal Shelter and provides vouchers for the adopted dogs and cats at The Walker Animal Shelter. PET AID also offers assistance to the families who live in Livingston Parish.
Ouachita Parish – PAWS of Northeast Louisiana – #318-397-0007 This program provides assistance to low-income pet owners. Priority is given to those who are most in need. Recipients will be asked to contribute an amount (co-pay) towards the cost of the spay/neuter. Spay/Neuter Application
Sabine Parish Humane Society – has a spay/neuter voucher program. On the first day of each month call #318-645-7156, leave your name, number, have a dog or cat, male or female. If approved, 50% of the cost will be covered. If on Medicare or Medicaid, 100% of cost covered.
St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter – has partnered with the LaSPCA for spay/neuter services. Cats are $50. and Dogs are $80. For details or scheduling an appointment, please call #985-783-5010.
St. Tammany Humane Society – #985-892-7387 offers $37 spay/neuter for feral cats through their Feral Cat Fix Project. They also have a current program for a limited number of $15 spay/neuter surgeries for Pit Bulls. The everyday clinic pricing for spay/neuter is $75 spays and $60 neuters for cats and dog spay/neuter runs between $90 to $155, depending on the size of the dog and which surgery. Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter – spay/neuter program has been expanded to include St. Mary, St. Charles and Assumption Parishes, in association with the Louisiana SPCA.
Webster Humane Society – #318-377-7433 – Webster Parish Police Jury funds a low income/low cost spay/neuter program for Webster Parish citizens. For applications please call 318-377-7433. If you live outside of the parish please contact Robinson’s Rescue Low Cost Spay/Neuter.
